elcome to the "Foundation for Economic History Research within Banking and Enterprise".

This Foundation is committed to promoting research into the economic history of banking and industry. It compiles, organises and administers archives that originate from Stockholms Enskilda Bank (1856-1971) and associated companies, the Wallenberg family and certain foundations.

The material is made available by the Foundation for research purposes: However, no research scholarships are granted.

Banking & Enterprise is a series of publications issued by the Foundation in the form of booklets, and also as electronic versions. A new volume on Charles Emil Hagdahl (1809-1897) is due to be published in spring, 2009.

During the last years several monographs in Swedish has been translated into English and French. The biography Jacob Wallenberg 1892-1980, by Professor Håkan Lindgren, is now available in English. Look here for further information. There is also a presentation of the historical records in English, available in the form of an off-print on request.
